Say hello to the all-new Ford Maverick. Not necessarily new news we are finally happy to see the first few models arrive in Grande Prairie at Windsor Ford and we are extremely excited!
The Ford Maverick is one of the most affordable trucks for sale on the market. It’s perfect for people who are looking for a cheap option for their work truck, or for someone who doesn’t have an interest in spending a lot of money on gas.
Fully equipped with a lot of the same features you’d see in other trucks from Ford Motor Company, it comes with many features that make it more attractive to customers, such as a backup camera and a blind-spot monitor, and an impressive hybrid engine.

The Ford Maverick’s affordable price tag makes it a popular choice for students, young professionals, and retirees. This truck has a surprisingly spacious interior for its size and a sleek exterior that will look great in any neighborhood. With a variety of safety features that provide peace of mind for families with young children or pets, it’s a great option for those not looking to spend the money on an F-150 or needing the size of one but still want some features of a pickup truck!
The Maverick is the Blue Oval’s smallest truck, but it’s still a major deal. It offers a tempting alternative to the dreariness of high-cost SUVs and big pickup models that we see all too often on our streets without resorting to higher prices or unnecessary features. It’s a smaller truck for individuals who need the capabilities of a pickup or doesn’t want another SUV in their driveway.
What makes it so affordable though?
There’s a lot of speculation as to what exactly makes the Ford Maverick such an affordable option, here are some guesses as to why:
The truck is based on an already developed unibody system from the Bronco sport and the engines are proven as well in the Escape. Lots of things going on that help bring the Maverick together which thus is helping reduce the costs.
With a starting price of $25,900, it undercuts the cheapest F-150 by almost $10,000. It is also more than $8,000 cheaper than a base Ranger. Simply put, it’s the cheapest pickup, period.
With three trim levels to choose from(XL, XLT, and Lariat), the buyer should know how much they’re willing to spend.
The Maverick is built for those on a budget but sometimes you’ll need more than the base model. For those that just need something that gets them where they need to go and won’t cost too much in repairs or replacement costs down the road–the XL would be the best choice with no-frills.
Living in Grande Prairie you’ll likely need to use the truck for more and may want to have the capability to tow. The Maverick’s maximum towing capacity of 4000 pounds is only available with the available Tow Package. You won’t be hauling your fifth wheel down the highway and enjoying great mileage and fuel but you will be able to haul some simple and small loads with it.
It’s a great choice for those who need an affordable and practical vehicle that can tow smaller loads around town. At an estimated 40mpg EPA, the city mileage makes this truck perfect for a lot of situations.
A fun-to-drive truck, Ford’s new Maverick is a fuel-efficient hybrid that makes use of an eight-speed automatic transmission. While not completely electric (yet, we expect it to come if sales go well), the standard engine option packs 191 horsepower and 173 lb torque while the 2.0L EcoBoost produces 250 HP with 277lbs of torque. n processing power to all four wheels through its 2 liter EcoBoost unit or can be upgraded even further by opting for their optional 3L Triple Setting Hybrid model which offers up increased responsiveness thanks it having three electric motors at work within this system!
It’s not too far off to think that Ford might offer a fully electric version. With the Mach-E and F-150 Lightning making significant splashes this past year, it will be interesting to see how well Ford adopts its other models to become fully electric!
As Ford electric manufacturing plants continue to grow so to will the all-electric models.
Ford, without 4×4? It seems a little unheard of! But the Maverick won’t come with a 4×4 option. With three trims available you will ultimately have to decide on choosing between a Lariat trim or going with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine in order to enjoy All-Wheel-Drive.
As of this writing, the 2.5L Hybrid engine is only equipped to handle Front-Wheel-Drive due to its unique suspension.
We’re happy to announce that the Ford Maverick is now on sale and available at Windsor Ford in Grande Prairie. With dealers across the country starting to see inventory you should be able to test drive the Ford Maverick today!
